How to connect Claude to your LinkedIn messages

Option A: let Claude set it up

Paste this into Claude Code, Claude Desktop or any agent that can browse and run commands. This is the prompt shown on spacesos.com, with the channel named:

Claude will ask you for two things: the code Spaces emails you, and a tap to add a card and connect your account.

Option B: set it up yourself

1. Sign up with your email and the 6-digit code Spaces sends. An agent can do this for you through the onboarding MCP server at https://api.spacesos.com/mcp/start.
2. Add a card at checkout. Don't connect an account until checkout is finished.
3. Connect LinkedIn: open the connect link and sign in.
4. Create an API key. It starts with spc_live_ and is shown only once, so store it safely.
5. Add the MCP server https://api.spacesos.com/mcp to your agent, or call the REST API at https://api.spacesos.com/v1.

Can Claude read my LinkedIn messages?

Yes, once you connect your LinkedIn account to Spaces and add Spaces' MCP server to Claude, Claude can list your chats and read messages.

Can I stop Claude from sending messages?

Yes. A read-only key is enough for an agent that only summarises or searches your messages.

Is this allowed by LinkedIn?

LinkedIn's User Agreement section 8.2 prohibits bots or other unauthorized automated methods to send messages, and LinkedIn says members using such tools risk having their accounts restricted or shut down. Spaces is not affiliated with LinkedIn.
