A LinkedIn MCP server for your AI agent
Spaces lets your AI agent work in your own LinkedIn account through one MCP server or a REST API. Your agent can read your inbox, reply to conversations and look up profiles. Please read LinkedIn's rules below before you connect.
What your agent can do on LinkedIn
The tools below are the ones listed in the Spaces docs.
- Inbox: list chats (list_messaging_chats), read messages (list_messaging_messages), download attachments (get_messaging_attachment).
- Replies: reply in an existing chat (reply_in_chat), or start a chat with someone you know (start_chat).
- Profiles: look up a profile (get_profile). On LinkedIn, each lookup counts as a profile view.
- Invitations: send, list and withdraw (send_invitation, list_invitations, cancel_invitation).
- Search people or companies (search_linkedin).
- Read posts and comments (list_user_posts, get_post, list_comments).
- Publish a post, comment, or react (create_post, comment_on_post, react_to_post).
- Events: a webhook delivers a signed POST for every new message.
Use invitations and new chats only for people who know you. Spaces' Terms forbid cold outreach at scale.
Pacing and safe retries
Spaces enforces per-account limits for every key and every agent, however the agent is prompted. New accounts start lower and warm up over their first week. Replies in existing chats are never held back by first-week limits. Over a limit, the API returns 429 with Retry-After, and nothing was sent. Every send needs an Idempotency-Key, and retrying with the same key never sends twice. The limits are listed in the docs. These are Spaces' own limits: LinkedIn does not publish a "safe" threshold.
Set up
- Sign up with your email and the 6-digit code Spaces sends. An agent can do this for you through the onboarding MCP server at https://api.spacesos.com/mcp/start.
- Add a card at checkout. Don't connect an account until checkout is finished.
- Connect LinkedIn: open the connect link (create_messaging_connect_link with "channel": "linkedin") and sign in.
- Create an API key. It starts with spc_live_ and is shown only once, so store it safely.
- Add the MCP server https://api.spacesos.com/mcp to your agent, or call the REST API at https://api.spacesos.com/v1.
Claude Code, in one line:
claude mcp add --transport http spaces https://api.spacesos.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer spc_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"For Claude Desktop and the Claude API, see the Connect Claude page.
Is this allowed on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn's rules restrict automation. Read the caveat box above and our plain-English guide before you connect.

FAQ
Does Spaces work with Claude?
Yes. The Spaces docs give a one-line claude mcp add command for Claude Code, a config entry for Claude Desktop, and an MCP connector example for the Claude API.
Is Spaces a LinkedIn partner?
No. Spaces is not affiliated with LinkedIn and connects your account by signing in, not through LinkedIn's partner-only Messages API.
Does LinkedIn allow automated messaging?
LinkedIn's User Agreement section 8.2 prohibits bots or other unauthorized automated methods to send messages, add contacts, or post, comment and react, and LinkedIn says members using such tools risk having their accounts restricted or shut down.
Can I use it to message people I don't know?
No. Spaces' Terms say to message only people who know you and expect to hear from you, and to stop messaging anyone who asks you to stop.
