Can an AI agent answer customers in more than one language?

Yes. Agents such as Claude, ChatGPT and Grok reply in the language the customer writes in, so a tourist, a student or a new neighbour gets an answer they understand. A few simple steps keep those answers accurate.

How it works

You write your brief once, in your own language. When a customer writes in Spanish, Arabic or Hindi, the agent reads the question and replies in that language, using the facts from your brief. Each chat stays in the customer's language, on the same WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn, Messenger, X or email account.

Keep the important words fixed

  • Tell the agent to keep prices, product names and addresses exactly as written.
  • Give it your own translations for the few terms that matter, such as treatment or menu names.
  • Ask it to reply in the customer's language even if they mix languages.

Check a few replies

If someone on your team speaks a language your customers use, ask them to read a few of the agent's replies in the first week. For languages nobody reads, keep the agent to simple questions and pass anything important to a person.

When to pass the chat on

Complaints, refunds and anything medical or legal should go to a person, in any language. The agent can tell the customer, in their language, that someone will reply and when.

FAQ

Do I need a separate brief for each language?

No. One brief in your language is enough. Add your own translations for the few terms that must be exact.

Does Spaces charge more for other languages?

No. Spaces is priced by connected account, whatever language your customers write in.

Which languages work?

That depends on your AI model. Claude, ChatGPT and Grok all reply in many languages.
