LinkedIn messaging and connection request limits
LinkedIn does not publish exact limits, but it does restrict accounts that act like bots. Here is what published guidance recommends for messages, connection requests and profile views, how new accounts should start, and the limits Spaces keeps every account inside.
What the guidance recommends
- Connection requests: around 80 to 100 a day and about 200 a week on an active paid account. Free accounts get far fewer, especially with a note.
- Profile views: about 100 a day.
- Messages to connections, comments and reactions: about 100 a day each.
- Space every action out at random during working hours, never in regular bursts.
- Start new accounts, and accounts with fewer than about 150 connections, low.
The limits Spaces enforces
| Action | Spaces limit per account |
|---|---|

| Connection requests | 5 an hour, 20 a day, 100 a week (5 a day in week 1) |
| Profile views | 80 a day |
| Searches | 30 a day |
| Comments | 30 a day |
| Reactions | 50 a day |
| Posts | 3 a day |
Warm-up for a newly connected account
New conversations start at 8 a day in week 1, rise to 15 in week 2 and 20 in weeks 3 and 4, then reach the full limit. Replies to people who messaged you are not held back.
What happens at a limit
Spaces holds the next action and tells your agent when it can try again, so it never pushes past a limit. If LinkedIn itself refuses an invitation, often because of its own weekly limit, Spaces waits until the next day.

FAQ
How many LinkedIn connection requests can I send a week?
Published guidance suggests about 200 a week on an active paid account, and far fewer on a free one. Spaces caps every account at 100 a week to stay well inside that.
Does LinkedIn ban accounts for automation?
LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits bots and unauthorised automation, and LinkedIn can restrict accounts that use them. Read the box above before you connect.
Can I raise the Spaces limits?
No. You can set lower limits for an account, never higher.
