What to do when a platform signs your account out
Every so often a platform signs a connected account out, or asks for a security check such as a code or a new sign-in. It is normal and usually not a ban. Here is what happens in Spaces when it does, and how to get going again safely.
Why it happens
- You changed your password, or signed out of other devices.
- The platform wants to confirm it is you, with a code or a check.
- A WhatsApp phone was offline for a long time, or WhatsApp was reinstalled.
- The platform spotted unusual activity and wants a fresh sign-in.
What Spaces does
Spaces pauses sending on that account straight away, so nothing tries to go out while it is signed out. Your agent gets a clear answer that the account needs reconnecting, instead of retrying, and the account shows as needing attention.
How to reconnect
- Open your Spaces dashboard and choose to reconnect the account, or ask your agent for a reconnect link.
- Scan the QR code again for WhatsApp, or sign in through the secure link for the other channels.
- If the platform asks for a code, enter it on the platform's own screen.
- For WhatsApp, wait up to 24 hours after reconnecting before starting new chats. Replies can carry on.
If the platform restricted the account
If the platform says the account is restricted or banned, follow its own appeal steps in the app. Spaces cannot lift a platform restriction, and any restriction is yours to manage. Our articles on each platform's rules explain what they watch for.

FAQ
Does being signed out mean I am banned?
Usually not. Most sign-outs are routine security checks. A restriction or ban is shown by the platform itself.
Do I lose my conversations?
No. Your conversations stay on the platform, and Spaces picks up again once you reconnect.
Will my agent keep trying while the account is signed out?
No. Spaces pauses sending and tells the agent the account needs reconnecting.
